Verdict

Gurkha Brave will enjoy conditions off topweight but has yet to score over this trip and may prove more effective around two miles. Run With The Wind has shown little since landing this prize last season but looks to have been prepared with a repeat in mind and enjoyed a nice Down Royal sharpener over hurdles behind Clarcam last month. Vengeur De Guye may need this after his absence but conditions look just right for SUCH A LEGEND and he's taken to make the long journey from Kim Bailey's Gloucestershire base worthwhile. He was a good second the last day in a competitive Uttoxeter chase and can notch a first success over fences after a sequence of decent efforts. Le Grand Chene and Royal Macnab came home one-two here over trip and ground in late June and the pair are weighted to finish closer now with the Rebecca Menzies charge significantly better off to the tune of 8lb for four and a half lengths.
