In depth

Verdict

Gordon Elliott's representative here is the five-year-old Goal who is on his fifth trainer in as many years. He's taken pretty well to jumping hurdles and should find a small contest in due course. Definite Maybe hurdled well on his first experience of timber when third to Bittersweet at Uttoxeter having shown bumper promise. He too looks likely to find a suitable contest but FALCARRAGH is hard to oppose. Tim Vaughan's charge was a fine third in a competitive novice handicap hurdle at Cheltenham in November behind the useful Ifandbutwhynot before disappointing back at Prestbury Park the following month. Something was presumably amiss that day as he's not been seen since but he's the one to beat if all is well for this return as that November form is way above anything achieved by his rivals.
