In depth

Verdict

Intersky Music looks the one to beat in the opener, with Yankee Holiday and Thunderclap the ones to give him most to do. Intersky Music let his supporters down when beaten on his last start over timber at Sedgefield in May, but that was over a longer trip than today's. All the better for a recent spin on the Flat at Haydock, Jonjo O'Neill's charge can get back to winning ways, helped by the fact that his conditional rider can claim the full 8lb allowance. The locally-trained Yankee Holiday is a lot more experienced, and has less weight to carry, so has to be respected, but although successful over the course-and-distance in the past, normally finds one or two too good and is worth taking on again. Thunderclap showed his best form since going hurdling when third at Sedgefield recently, but that was on much faster ground, while the rest here are even more hard to fancy. With the scope to do better, we return to Intersky Music as the selection.
