In depth
Formwatch
Bengal Boy Modest form in bumpers, but ran reasonably well behind the smart Europa on hurdles debut and stable in quite good form.
Carlinare Point-to-point winner, but well beaten in three starts over fences this season and return to hurdles not necessarily a positive sign.
Carnaven Another point-to-point winner, pulled up in a novice chase at Hexham a year ago and not seen since.
Good Fun Makes debut under rules today and wouldn't have to be that good to have a chance
Just Whiskey (IRE) Lightly-raced horse with a bit of scope. Not disgraced at Stratford in October, his only run this season, and stable has a phenomenal strike rate here, so definitely one for the shortlist.
King of Rogues Showed little in two bumpers and was beaten a long way on hurdles debut.
Kings Court (IRE) Showed one or two signs of promise in three bumper starts but was beaten a long way on hurdles debut at Haydock and is probably best watched here.
Silver Howe Has finished second six times and overall level of form is good enough to win this, but he has failed to get his head in front from 24 attempts over hurdles. Still, in a race as poor as this today could be his lucky day.
Superb Leader (IRE) Very good effort on sole bumper start, but disappointing in two runs over hurdles so far. Is almost certainly capable of better but would not carry too much confidence.
The Grey Dyer (IRE) Twice placed second over hurdles and this lightly-raced gelding has looked capable of winning a race like this, although there is a suspicion that he may require a bit further to show his best form.
Whistle Test Has shown nothing in some very moderate races so far and looks exposed.
Another Laura Moderate maiden on the flat and well beaten on only hurdles start so far.
Little Flora Ran quite well at Ayr in November, having previously been placed at Sedgefield, but has been most disappointing twice since then and can easily be opposed.
River Ness Buckskin mare who hails from a stable with a reasonable record here and any market confidence would be interesting on this her hurdles debut.
Tarbolton Moss Hampered at the start on her hurdles debut, having shown some promise in a bumper run previously. Probably needs time, though.
Bruan (IRE) Well beaten on hurdles debut at Kelso and hard to fancy on what little evidence there is.
Glenfarclas Boy (IRE) Not threatened to feature in either run over hurdles so far and unlikely to fare too much better today.
Kelly Canyon Pulled up in only hurdles outing so far offering no encouragement.
