Verdict
Muckle Flugga showed enough at Hexham to be given a leading chance here over Volcano Snow, with Noras Legacy best of the rest. In a race that not too many can be given a chance of winning, Muckle Flugga's recent second to Princesse Grec stands out. Nicky Richards' mare was having her first outing since April that day and clearly appreciated the step back up in trip. She should improve for the run and has leading claims. Volcano Snow has the assistance of Tony McCoy and has a squeak on last season's efforts. She too should benefit from today's distance, having been outpaced after leading three out, also at Hexham, last month. Irish trainer Jimmy Lambe teamed up with Richard Johnson to supply last year's winner Super Lucky, and combine this time with Cill Uird. Any market move for her could prove to be significant. The rest are hard to make claims for, and for the winner we return to Muckle Flugga.
