Verdict
River Amora is a tentative choice in a tough one to call; Femme D'Avril, despite going slightly off the boil of late, is a big threat, while Pan The Man is also expected to go close. Pan The Man showed a liking for this course here last time and would be a strong contender if it could be guaranteed that he would post a similar effort today. Watch the betting carefully for clues. Femme D'Avril has been kept busy recently and has little to find to get competitive. However, her limitations have been exposed of late and she now has a bit to prove. Bally Rainey needs a mention, as he comes here in good heart. However, the ground appears to have gone against him and he needs luck on his side. Therefore, we jump ship to side with River Amora, who is a previous course and distance winner that fits the profile of many previous winners of this race. His veteran stage is of no consequence, as he still retains enthusiasm and, with the ground to his liking a bold bid is expected from River Amora.
