Verdict

This is a tougher renewal than when Aucunrisque won it last year though he did land the Grade 3 Betfair Hurdle in February, when Teddy Blue was back in third, and wasn’t at his best in soft going at Cheltenham last time when behind Luttrell Lad - he should reverse that running on today’s faster ground. BLUEKING D’OROUX (NAP) struggled on his first couple of outings for Paul Nicholls but a breathing operation had the desired effect and he won nicely at a massive price at Ascot a week ago. There should be more to come from him and he’s preferred to Bourbali, who won at this fixture last year. Get Back Get Back and Dr T J Eckleburg are upped in class but Effernock Fizz returns to the smaller obstacles with a shout.
