In depth

Verdict

Sweet Oona looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open her account and is taken to do so at the main expense of Emerald Express and Tignasse. The selection was a maiden on the flat in France but has shown enough in four starts for Venetia Williams to suggest that a race of this nature would be well within her compass. Tignasse is an interesting runner on her debut for the shrewd stable of Gary Moore, having shown ability on the flat in France. She makes more appeal than Fiddles Music, who would have claims on the evidence of her head second to Viva Forever two starts ago but had shown little beforehand and has disappointed since. Emerald Express has struggled since landing a maiden hurdle at Southwell and may do so again under her penalty. With Nicky Henderson's horses back in form again now Capitana has to be respected but she needs to improve to get the better of Sweet Oona, who has an obvious chance.
