Hawk's Landing is selected to take the finale, with the Paul Nicholls gelding Alexanderthegreat and The Grey Butler the principle dangers. The selection has no ground or trip worries, is in good form and has also run well on this track, so he looks to have solid credentials. He is still unexposed and looks the one to beat. Alexanderthegreat is from a yard in good form, and he will be interesting if he is supported in the market, while the Grey Butler is a consistent sort and he ran well on his hurdles debut when second on this track behind Gigs Bounty. He will come on for that run so should make the frame here. Mickey Croke looks the best of the others as he was making eyecatching headway when he fell on his hurdles debut at Haydock last month. If he is none the worse for that fall he could be capable of running a big race here under the handling of AP McCoy. This looks a decent contest to round off the card, but we are happy to side with Hawk's Landing.
