Verdict
A poor race in which Amadeus should see off Alasil and Come Bye on the proviso that he does not bounce after a long absence. Michael Scudamore's horse had almost 1000 days off prior to his previous run round here but he was still good enough to dispatch equally modest opposition. The worry has to be the bounce factor although that said, the horse has such a modest rating that he really wouldn't have to be up to much to beat this bunch. Come Bye was beaten a head by the selection and still got put up 5lb for his troubles by the handicapper. Alasil appears to get no further than this trip and must be watched in the market in spite of giving lumps of weight away to the market protagonists. Hail The King has bits and pieces of form that entitle him to a passing glance while the Barney Curley trained Lillebror has yet to show anything over hurdles. Amadeus look set to call the tune in the third.
