        Verdict

        Shining Lights, Gabor and Silver Dagger are all capable of landing this type of event and we will give the vote to the first named. Martin Pipe's mare is making her chasing debut and will not have to be anything special to land this weak contest. She was always expected to make a better chaser than hurdler, and after showing plenty of promise over the smaller obstacles could now be ready to show her true ability. Silver Dagger was bought in for seven thousand guineas after dead- heating in a Uttoxeter selling hurdle in May but hasn't really rewarded that faith since. However he has always looked more like a chaser and could go close at decent odds. Gabor has experience over fences and didn't do badly when chasing home Donatus at Uttoxeter, and could prove best of the others. All in all it is not a race for big stakes, but Shining Lights may be safest bet.
