Verdict
Carlisle bumper winner Giveusaclue is probably better than he showed on his second start over hurdles when last seen here in March and Jonjo O'Neill's gelding has to be respected but it may be worth taking a chance with Red Opera, with Silver Serg rated the pick of the remainder. The selection makes his debut over hurdles today but has shown respectable form on the level, should appreciate the test of stamina provided by the trip today and looks worth chancing at the likely odds. Haligreen did not progress as much as may have been anticipated after making a winning start to his career in a Plumpton bumper, while Daring Racer gave little sign for encouragement on his hurdling debut at Lingfield earlier this month. Silver Serg looks to be going the right way at last but remains a maiden after 11 career starts and a better bet may be Red Opera who gets the vote.
