Verdict

THUBIAAN's second to Action Front at Goodwood in May hasn't worked out and he was beaten eight lengths by Wild Coco over this trip at Haydock on his only subsequent start. The rain-softened ground may not have been ideal that day, however, and he still finished nine lengths clear of Crimson Knight who went on to win a Newmarket handicap next time. Willie Haggas' colt is the one to beat here, though any market support for newcomers Jacob McCandles, Afrikaans or Tiny Temper would be interesting. Star Commander has made the frame in all three starts this year but lacks a bit of scope now, though does hold Kadoodd on their run over C&D 16 days ago.
