Verdict

There are plenty in with chances in this but the handicapper has hardly over-reacted in raising Kyle Of Lochalsh just two pounds for a cosy Goodwood win, and he can win again. Emerging Star, who showed good promise on his first run for George Moore last time, rates as one of the dangers. Formerly with Lynda Ramsden, he is closely weighted with Sir Night on the back of a recent Beverley run but might be capable of reversing the placings. Coming here from maiden runs, Danny Leahy and Ersaal must have been hard to assess. Both could go well, with the latter sure to be suited by this ten-furlong trip. Kristoffersen, two pounds higher than for a seven-furlong Brighton win, is also stepping up to a trip that holds every chance of suiting so is another for the shortlist. Arcalis, formerly a stablemate of the selection, carries a penalty for his Leicester win but could well improve again. Crimson Dancer's comes here on the back of two all-weather successes but she could improve for this trip on turf. As indicated, it's an open - and interesting contest - but Kyle Of Lochalsh can give Kevin Darley another winner.
