In depth

Verdict

Canasta remains 5lb higher than when scoring at Wolverhampton in October and George Mallory is preferred on last year’s success at Haydock. The latter is fitted with headgear for his reappearance but a chance is taken on EMBRACE THE MOMENT. She started last season on a 10lb higher mark and, having finished closer on the all-weather earlier this year, may have finally slipped far enough down the weights to open her account. Iconic Code has something to find with the selection but Sorbonne has plenty of scope handicapping for the first time.
