Verdict
Cases can be made for a number of these, but Deign To Dance has a good chance at the weights and edges slender preference over Pella and Otago, who both arrive here in good form. So too does Willhego, who has really found his racing shoes of late but there has to be a slight query about him dropping in trip this afternoon. Sion Hill, who failed to make the grade for Sir Michael Stoute, has a fair bit to find with Pella and, like a handful of the rest, looks a risky proposition for win only purposes in this company. The last mentioned horse has been largely consistent since her introduction in March - having won twice and made the frame on four other occasions. However, she does have the unfortunate knack of finding trouble in her races and Frankie Dettori will have his work cut out for him if she gets crowded on the far rail. Therefore, it might pay to look to wider on the track from the stalls and, as Deign To Dance is also likely to be available at much longer odds, she gets the vote today. The daughter of Danetime had some very useful form last season but had her heart broken by some top-class rivals. Johnny Portman has been patient with her since then and she has really started to show that the time and effort taken with her have been worthwhile. The predicted going will not be a problem for her and, now that she has proved herself over a mile, Frankie could be left to rue the decision to desert Deign To Dance here.
