Verdict
Three recent winners Double Vodka, Lucayan Dancer and Brief Goodbye should all be involved in some capacity, but we like the look of Ocean Avenue who can make a winning return to the racecourse. Con Horgan's gelding managed two victories last season, both at Kempton. The first was after a lengthy lay off, so obviously he goes well when fresh. He may have been over the top on his final outing when well beaten in a better race than this and we expect a big showing today off his current fair mark. Double Vodka Hit winning form at at Ayr last time over this trip and appears to be going the right way. Lucayan Dancer won at Chester last time but also likes it round here and should get into the places. While Brief Goodbye showed plenty of determination when just getting up at Sandown last time. Those three are certainly the pick on recent form, but if Ocean Avenue is fit for his seasonal debut he may just beat them all.
