Verdict

Middleham trainer Mark Johnston rarely leaves Ponty without a winner and he can take this maiden with Shades Of Beige, Remaal and Insinuation could be the main rivals. This American bred filly contested what appeared to be a decent Ripon maiden last time and ran a race full of promise finishing third to the Barry Hills trained Diamond Circle. The experience will not be lost on her and with improvement expected she will be difficult to beat. Marcus Tregoning runs the Unfuwain filly Remaal who will love every yard of this trip and she should be monitored closely in the betting. Meanwhile Insulation has shown plenty of ability in two races to date and should be involved in the finish. The others make very little appeal and so it shouldn't be too difficult a task for Shades Of Beige to lose her maiden tag.
