Verdict
Sunday City looks the form pick against Schapiro and Roman Forum. David Loder's representative finished third in a true run maiden at Thirsk on debut and on that evidence looks a likely type to handle the gradients of the Pontefract track. Schapiro does not look the easiest of rides but the form of his recent run behind Pagan Magic was given a solid boost by second placed Le Tiss's fourth placing in the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot. Qadraat was a very expensive purchase at 230 000 guineas. A tad disappointing on debut at Sandown, his breeding suggests that middle distances should be the making of him. Roman Forum is a full brother to Wince but could not dispose of a modest bunch at Ripon. Plenty of blue blood on view and we will stick with David Loder's Sunday City.
