Verdict

Red Romeo has run respectably in defeat and can take the measure of Bo McGinty and Rene Barbier. While he failed to fetch much at the sales, Alan Swinbank's son of Case Law has plenty of early speed and could be ideally suited to this track. The stable are in much better form of late and a good run should be anticipated. Bo McGinty finished second to Bridgwater Boys at Ripon earlier in the week. As that rival had finished second to Miss Chicaf on his previous racecourse outing, Richard Fahey's representative looks to have a solid formbook chance on that collateral form. Rene Barbier won a modest maiden at Doncaster fifteen days ago. He had been racing over further on two previous starts so there is no reason to suggest that the trip will be a problem. Imperial Echo finished third to Peak To Creek in the Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy. There is no reason to suggest at the weights that he can reverse form with Bo McGinty so his backers will need to hope that the visor works the oracle. George The Best is however at better terms with Bo McGinty based on their Hamilton meeting. A competitive race in which Red Romeo is selected.
