Verdict
KING’S CASTLE could only manage third on his handicap debut at Ripon but drops down in class and the return to this shorter trip will also suit the Haggas colt. Wise Eagle won his maiden over a mile at Lingfield and debuts on Turf along with Newcastle novice winner Salsada but Mark Of Gold is expected to show a big improvement for this extra distance and is preferred of those handicapping for the first time. Verify has been thereabouts over 1m4f so far this year though won over today’s trip at Windsor last year.
