In depth

Verdict

Edward Lewis was having his first start for David O'Meara when scoring narrowly, though with a bit in hand, at Beverley last week. He comes into this better race with a penalty but looks certain to go well. Judicial won Class 2 handicaps at Thirsk and Chester last term though hasn't been at his best on the all-weather recently but Art Collection certainly has. From the in-form Ruth Carr yard, he's produced two victories at Newcastle though in much lower grade contests and is saddled with a 9lb rise in the weights. LINE OF REASON has won once in his last 29 starts though broke the track record at Beverley in doing so. He'd been running well in Dubai before reappearing at Musselburgh nine days ago where he faded inside the final furlong to finish third behind stable companion Desert Law. He's taken to carry top weight to another victory.
