In depth

Verdict

French recruit Bon Retour made a winning start for Willie Mullins at Galway but was very disappointing when long odds-on at Bellewstown. Paul Townend sticks with her rather than ride GETAWAY GORGEOUS but the latter looks to have the stronger overall form. Twice narrowly beaten on heavy going earlier this year before landing a Wexford maiden, she reappeared with a fine run behind the smart The Very Man in a Galway maiden and David Mullins can steer her home. Fort Worth Texas got off the mark over hurdles with an easy victory over 2m6f on this track before finishing mid-division in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham while Guinevere, a novice hurdle winner at Galway, can't have been right when well beaten at Kilbeggan. The Sliding Rock looked a nice prospect at Wexford but this is much tougher.
