Verdict
A superb renewal with recent dual winners Benruben and Pakens Rock likely to be outsiders. The latter has twice defied jumping errors at Galway but can't afford mistakes here while Henry De Bromhead has an outstanding record in the race so the former can build on his Grade 3 victory at Roscommon. He holds A Wave Of The Sea on his victory at Killarney while Gordon Elliott saddles Felix Desjy, who won a Grade 1 over hurdles at Aintree and scored on the Flat at Navan in the summer before cantering to victory over fences at Killarney. DARVER STAR just failed to concede Honeysuckle 7lb in the Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown then produced an outstanding run in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham. He had no problems landing a beginners' chase here last month and can remain unbeaten over fences. Sizing Pottsie is the most experienced of these over fences with a Grade 3 victory to his credit though he'll need to improve as will Emily Moon.
