Verdict

Fusain easily landed a moderate maiden at Kilbeggan and can't have been right when tailed off here next time. Gowran winner Lignou ran a fine race in a Grade B handicap at Down Royal and the experience will stand him in good stead. Mighty Tom is improving with every run and made all to beat the useful Run For Oscar at Galway so could take some catching here. CALL ME LYREEN has looked a very smart prospect in both starts to date and though taking on stronger rivals can confirm the good impression he showed when beating a decent field at Sligo. None of the remaining quartet can be dismissed with Pure Genius looking a long-term project in his three runs last winter though a longer trip may suit.
