In depth

Verdict

Nicky Henderson knows what's required for this having won it in 2016 so Walking On Air, who didn't get a clear run when a close fifth in the Pertemps Final, has to be respected. Paul Townend elects to ride Seabank Bistro of Willie Mullins' powerful quartet though Cork winner Sir Argus doesn't look badly treated on a mark of 128. Parmenion has never raced beyond 2m4f but Alfie Rose stays well and had few problems landing a Fairyhouse handicap last time. UK raider Kilbeg King looks on a fair mark but this can go to SWEET WILL, who has won his last three over hurdles. Grozni and Dartan are others to note in a competitive handicap.
