In depth

Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading fancies but the principals look to be Nassau Style, Magic Echo and Gleneagles and the narrow nomination is given to Magic Echo. The selection was slightly disappointing behind Rosbay last time out. However he will relish the return to this faster surface and off what remains a fair mark he looks a value bet. Nassau Style rates the main danger as he won a maiden in good style last time out when beating Trees Of Green. He enters handicaps off what looks a handy mark and he should be closely watched in the market. Gleneagles has won his last two races in good style but they have come with much more cut in the ground and he looks opposable on this faster surface. Tommy Tobougg is another last time out winner that could go well but he will need to improve again to win this tougher contest and with this in mind for the winner we return to Magic Echo, who at least is battle hardened in comparison to his main danger.
