Verdict

SUMMER SANDS will be all the rage for this year’s renewal on these terms. Richard Fahey’s colt is the highest rated after finishing a creditable third in the Group 1 Middle Park at Newmarket a week ago and can take advantage of a low weight. He’s expected to reverse earlier running over 5f at Ascot with Glasvegas while Dubai Station was placed in the Norfolk over the same trip at Ascot in June but ran below par in the Gimcrack at York last time. Troubador was narrowly beaten in a valuable nursery at York when ahead of subsequent winner Praxeology while the latter’s stablemate Desert Safari remains unbeaten but is conceding plenty of weight to the likely favourite. Know No Limits has winning form in soft going but Dylan De Vega and Hartswood make less appeal as stable companions to the selection.
