Verdict
Giverny Spring has proven to be expensive to follow but trainer John Hills seems to have found a suitable opportunity for her to finally open her account and she is taken to do just that with the main dangers rated Silk Topper and Maud's Cat. The last mentioned has only had the one start so far, showing a modicum of ability in a Kempton maiden in June, and could be anything but she is hard to back on that evidence. Star Sign is no better than plating class, while Eric Alston's Zell would need to improve on the form of her debut effort to get involved. Silk Topper looks the main danger on the evidence of his latest effort at Ripon but the main balance of her form gives Giverny Spring every chance here and she gets the vote.
