Verdict
Sol Rojo, Bessemer and William Tell are the three against the field in this low key claimer with William Tell taken to come out on top. There is little form on which to work and this is surely not a serious betting proposition as a contest. Bessemer is asked to concede weight all round here and takes a significant drop in class having run in a decent handicap at Hamilton last time but was beaten some way and may find it hard here again. Sol Rojo was a convincing winner of a seller at Wolverhampton and must go well in this poor affair-he will also come on for that first run of the season. However, William Tell is a dangerous opponent and can justify the long haul for Mick Channon. Not beaten all that far in an apprentice handicap at Ripon last time, that form is as good as anything in the race and William Tell is taken to shoot down his rivals.
