        Verdict

        Barend Boy looked one to follow when landing a Lingfield nursery but he's been beaten a long way in his last two starts. He has a penalty to carry as has Ride The Monkey, who came here for a 7f maiden on his debut and produced a 25/1 surprise. He'll be suited by the extra furlong as will Barys, who was battling on over 7f at Chelmsford having run well at York earlier. FOX LEICESTER finished last on his Chester debut but made great strides to finish just two lengths behind Turjomaan over 7f at Ascot where he was staying on strongly. John Gosden had the runner-up in that race so Lord North is a newcomer to note but Arctic Fox will need to step up a gear.
