Verdict

Just the five runners, but a reasonable race, with Fleece getting the call over Sanchi and Stormy Love. The Henry Cecil-trained selection stayed on in eyecatching fashion once the penny dropped on her debut 30 days and this well-bred filly looks sure to improve on that and go well today. Sanchi was a fair third on his Doncaster debut and, much as he has not run since that race 378 days ago, he is from an in-form yard and is respected. Stormy Love, who was third to Stronghold on his Haydock debut also has an absence to defy, although in his case it is 124 days. He warrants consideration, though, but with Marcus Tregoning's Ameeq so far having failed to live up to his billing, we return to the selection, which is Fleece.
