Verdict

Winning Spirit has proven to be expensive to follow but Jeremy Noseda's colt may be worth one more chance in a race where the opposition looks to be thin on the ground with the main dangers seeming to be Dress To Impress and Nufoudh. The last mentioned is entitled to improve as most of the yard's horses tend to do so but he is hard to back on all known form. Tim Easterby's Grazie Mille could be of interest first time out but is likely to need the run, while stablemate Durova also lacks a previous run which has to be of some concern. Howard Johnson's Algol showed some promise on his Catterick debut and has to be considered along with Jim Boyle's Dress To Impress, who has shown a consistent level of form in his two starts so far. Winning Spirit has shown the best form of those to have raced though and he is taken to gain a deserved first success.
