Verdict

Chester winner Perfect Play was upped in class at Epsom last time while Orchestra returned a beaten favourite at Beverley having won at the same track before that. Mint Edition failed when bidding to land a four-timer on the Tapeta and novice winner Radetsky Marsch floundered at Ripon on his handicap debut. Jasor and Gordon Grey may improve now handicapping but IN THE TRENCHES (NAP) was gelded before returning to action with a good effort at Chepstow on his handicap bow and is taken to come out best in this with an apprentice’s allowance helping his cause.
