In depth

Verdict

Wigram's Turn is an interesting newcomer from the Andrew Balding yard, however we will side with the more experiended Diademas, with Artdeal the pick of the others. Diademas represents the in form Jamie Osborne yard and was most impressive when successful last time out. He comfortably pulled clear of what looked a decent enough field at Southwell and if as effictive on turf he will prove hard to beat. Artdeal didn't handle Chester last time out but had previously shown great determination to win at Beverley he looks the obvious threat to the selection. Wigram's Turn has a nice American pedigree and hails from a yard that can easily get one ready first time out, the market should give clues to his fitness. However it is hard to go against Diademas on that Southwell running and he gets our confident vote.
