In depth

Verdict

A small field for this handicap but very tricky with Mister Arjay, Karlani and Let It Be all considered however we have come down on the side of the last named. Keith Reveley's charge looked on the way back to form last time behind Rocknest Island. He wasn't beaten far and has been dropped a couple of pounds. He is now down to his last winning mark and looks worth a chance in this fascinating race. Mister Arjay's last success came off a mark of 66, but he did win in great style. He has struggled a little bit since but they have been in more competitive races and he should go close this afternoon. Karlani is still a maiden but is from a yard in form and did show plenty of promise last season. Ahlawy looks the pick of the other two runners, but Let It Be has been given a chance by the assessor and he gets the verdict.
