In depth

Verdict

Rated 78, WAR DEFENDER is the most exposed but Tim Easterby’s charge should be bang there at the finish if running up to his mark. Ring Of Gold was no match for the winner when runner-up at Leicester on his debut and Garden Paradise was still well beaten when placed at Thirsk last month when finishing in front of Daniel Deronda. Yukon is a half-brother to a Listed winner and is preferred of the newcomers.
