Verdict

The three-year-old maiden can go to EZRA CHURCH, although newcomer Panama Jack is very interesting and Powerful Pierre can also figure. The selection has has two nice runs so far this spring, improving for his Ripon debut when tried over 7f at Beverley last time. Fast ground seemed to suit that day, when he showed plenty of pace, and connections may well have it right now dropping him back to this sprint trip. Debutant Panama Jack is out of a decent sprinter and related to other winners over shorter trips, including at this age, so given the form of the Fahey stable this turf campaign it is likely that any market warmth would be worthy of note. Powerful Pierre has had 11 attempts to get off the mark so far, so does look vulnerable, though fast ground and this trip are ideal for him and he may show his best without still managing to get off the mark. Feel The Heat has shown promise in two outings to date, while Mighty Aphrodite is also going the right way, but Ezra Church looks the one to beat.
