Verdict

FIBS AND FLANNEL is back on a winning mark now and showed immediate improvement when beaten only a length at Doncaster last time. Dropping down a level today along with the application of blinkers for the first time make Tim Easterby's charge the one to beat here. Petsas Pleasure drops back in trip and is 8lb higher than when winning at Redcar in May, though he is reunited with winning partner Paul Hanagan, while Desert Hunter has been given a chance by the handicapper racing off a 3lb lower mark after his length defeat at Pontefract last week. Wiseman's Diamond wasn't far away when third over C&D last month and looks best of the rest.
