Verdict
Rated 81, Blind Beggar came up short when sent off favourite in novice company at Newcastle and is worth taking on with TWILIGHT SPINNER. The latter was no match for Scarlet Bear, rated 104, when third at Pontefract on her debut but faces an easier task in this. She’s preferred to stablemate Morty while State of Play has been gelded since finishing fourth at Newcastle on his debut and makes more appeal than Canaria Prince. The latter’s stable companion Tequila Royale is a half-sister to a Listed winner and a newcomer to note.
