In depth
Verdict
Ovthenight is selected to reverse recent form with Precision Break, while Red Lily is also respected as a live contender in race of this nature. Red Lily appears to be getting better as she gains in experience, which may have plenty to do with her stepping up to a more appropriate trip. A bit give underfoot should not be too much of a problem for the Red Ransom filly and she is worth a cover bet at the likely odds. Precision Break has been a revelation since switching to turf and has remained unbeaten from four starts. A 6lb penalty makes life tougher today but he has a likeable attitude and will not go down without a fight. However, Ovthenight is an equally progressive type and, with the old theory about weight stopping trains holding water, this looks a fair chance for Ovthenight to extract revenge on his old rival.
