Verdict
Aussie Blue represents a yard in flying form and he can confirm the Pontefract form with San Antonio, while Hurlingham and Emirate Isle are others with claims in a race of this nature and are also worth considering for each-way money. Emirate Isle is less exposed than most and, having proved to be capable at a mile, may provide the sternest challenge to the likely market leaders. San Antonio loves to make the running and will no doubt make this a good test if running his usual race. He is 5lb higher than for his recent course success but, as a reliable type, he cannot be confidently discounted. However, Aussie Blue had long threatened to win a race before he pipped his old rival in the closing stages at Pontefract last week and, with his confidence now on a high, Aussie Blue is worth persevering with now that he knows what it takes to win a race.
