      Verdict

      LERWICK takes on his elders but scored with something to spare at Pontefract and a 4lb rise looks manageable. This step up in trip should suit and his front-running tactics should prove well suited to this track, though the forecast soft ground is a concern. In contrast, Zarabanda has no issues with conditions and rates a threat on the back of a gutsy Nottingham success for which he's only been raised a pound. Poet's Dawn also enters calculations and there are no going concerns while course and distance winner Casilli looks set to strike sooner rather than later.
