Verdict
Mikmak is the only course and distance winner and has also scored over shorter here. He's only 2lb higher than his last victory though hasn't been in the best of form. The three-year-old Sameem would have a chance on his second to Fox Premier at Sandown and didn't have much chance in the Britannia at Ascot while Rufus King makes a quick reappearance after a good run at Haydock on Friday. King's Pavilion was staying on over a mile at York and looks ready to win soon but Addis Ababa ran moderately when stepped up to this class at Pontefract. MANDARIN couldn't quicken in soft ground at Sandown after being brought with a challenge but still did well to finish runner-up and can go one better.
