Verdict

Stagehand, beaten a neck on her debut at Newcastle in October, was beaten a long way at Newmarket in April but better is expected, a remark that also applies to the 100,000gns Shamardal colt Ghanim, who made a reasonable debut at Newmarket last month. Power Player showed little in his first two starts and finished last of three at Haydock though wasn't beaten far but this should go to MORNING DUEL, who found soft going against him at Catterick after a promising debut over this track and trip.
