        Verdict

        Catton Lady gained a surprise debut victory over the minimum at Carlisle but couldn't handle the step-up in grade over 6f here next time. Arizona Desert started a short-priced favourite for her debut at Wetherby but found the extended 5f on fast ground too short. Bellarchi has been showing very good pace over the minimum and keeping on so the extra shouldn't prove a problem. GEOLOGIST, beaten a neck on her debut over this trip at Redcar with a subsequent winner in third, couldn't go with the pace in the Queen Mary but will find this much more to her liking.
