Verdict
Gordon Elliott holds a strong hand. Coventry has only won once but was placed in a Galway handicap in October and makes his debut at this level. The stable's Benz is rated 9lb lower but will be receiving 23lb with his rider's claim taken into account. BAL DE RIO won one of these at Punchestown in May and finished a good third at Sligo last time with the veteran My Manekineko five lengths behind. Denis Hogan's charge appears certain to get into contention and looks the safest option. Winning bumper Barbary Master drops into this company for the first time and along with Eagle Terrace looks best of the remainder.
