Verdict
Needles And Pins and Birthday Suit are the two to concentrate on in this Listed fillies' stakes and we will give the vote to the first mentioned. The selection ran well in group 3 company towards the end of last season and she looks the clear form pick. She will have no problem with the conditions and if she can reproduce the best of her form from last season she will be the one they all have to beat. Birthday Suit rates the main danger as she was well beaten in a Group 2 race behind Attraction at Newmarket's July meeting last year. She is still open to improvement but she would probably prefer the ground to be a bit quicker and she is opposed on this occasion. Petite Rose is from the in-form John Gosden yard and is the other worth a second look as she shaped up well on her debut when defeating Warden Complex at Folkestone, but for the winner we return to Needles and Pins.
