Verdict

This is a bit of a pin-stickers' race, but the hat-trick seeking REEL BUDDY STAR could be worth a punt, while also making the shortlist are Bolodenka and Moody Tunes. George Moore's gelding is racing off a career-high mark, but going really well, having suddenly found form in his last two outings after previously registering just one place in eight starts. He made all to win at Newcastle and Thirsk last month and he's expected to be raced prominently again. Moody Tunes is also likely to be up at the vanguard early on; he's only won one handicap in the last three years though, with claimers more his level, as was the case when successful last time out, when racing at odds on in a four runner contest at Doncaster. Bolodenka was a short head behind, but with a six pound pull in the weights today ought top be capable of reversing that. Support for Zarilan would be interesting, given his 17 months off the track and a change of yard. However, preference is for Reel Buddy Star.
