      Verdict

      Richard Fahey bids for a third consecutive success in this with In First Place. He signed-off last year with a win at Catterick and steps up in distance on his return. So does La Casa Tarifa, who made a winning reappearance over 7f at Chelmsford and is preferred to stable companion White Tower while Devil's Bridge quickly downed tools at Doncaster last time though is not badly treated on last season’s best efforts. KITTEN’S JOHNSTOWN beat a subsequent winner when scoring at Ayr on his debut in September. An entry in the Irish Derby suggests he’s held in high regard and Kevin Ryan’s colt may well be good enough in this.
